FAQ
FAQ
1.I am a true beginner which class is best for me to start in?Power Yoga Basics on Tues night with Lori. This class has the same standard flow as our all-levels classes but give particular emphasis to the foundational postures, deepening the student's knowledge of alignment, physical condition, and spirit. The temperature is set to 85 degrees, so that you can get a taste of the heat. If Tuesday night doesnt work in your schedule we welcome beginners in all classes. We encourage beginners to pace themselves in class, with this in mind we find that the hour of power classes, happy hour class and detox flow class are not suitable for beginners. We want you to have a positive experience while trying Power Vinyasa Yoga for the first time!2.Why the heat? The heat causes more blood to be brought to the muscles, bringing with it more oxygen and helping to eliminate waste such as lactic acid. The heat also causes us to SWEAT! Sweating helps release toxins through the skin. It also makes muscles more elastic, less susceptible to injury. Warmer temperatures produce a more fluid stretch, allowing for greater range of motion. Cold muscles dont absorb shock and impact as well and do not stretch as easily so cold muscles get injured more readily. 3.What should I bring with meWe have mats for new students to borrow if you dont have your own. Bring water and a towel with you. Also bring an open mind willingness to challenge yourself ! Towel rental is available.4.How should I dressWear loose comfortable clothing, because we will be moving around a lot. Also wear layers since most classes are Hot yoga you can remove the layers as needed.5.When should I arrive for class ?Please arrive 10 -15 minutes early, to register and calmly settle in. We feel the first 15 minutes of class are the most important to warm up your entire body and settle your mind in preparation for your practice. If you are late for class you miss the most important part of class6.What is Power Vinyasa Yoga ?Power Vinyasa Yoga is a unique sequence of postures aimed at strengthening the mind-body connection.
