Janet wishes she had discovered yoga 30 years ago, as she took her first class in the summer of 2008. Always being athletic and a "tomboy" as a kid, Janet enjoys a variety of outdoor sports including skiing, sailing, running, biking, tennis and hiking. She had never before experienced an activity with such positive physical and mental effects, and feels strongly about the health benefits of yoga at any age or ability. Since that first class she has been trying to absorb as much as possible of the world of yoga with a focus on hot power yoga.
Janet completed Baron Baptiste's Level 1 teachers training boot camp in August 2009. Janet recently retired from her private practice of general dentistry after 16 years. Her future plans are to practice dentistry part time in community service and teaching, while teaching yoga, and raise her two teenage sons. She also would like to complete her level 2 teachers training, and to attend more workshops on teen, prenatal, and seniors yoga.
